Fairy Biscuits

Ingredients:

Method:

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla followed by almond meal, custard powder, flour and lastly 100s & 1000s. Either roll into biscuits or spread into a small square cake tin and bake at 200 deg cel until just brown on the bottom. Be careful not to overcook. Cut into squares then dip bottoms in melted chocolate or drizzle over the top if you can’t be stuffed.

The Ramblings:

I’m not sure what it is about grown men and sprinkles, but honestly, anything that I put sprinkles in goes like wildfire! Today I was super lazy and just made this as squares because I’m a touch neurotic about rolling biscuits neatly so if I’m lazy baking I avoid those shenanigans all together. If I was doing this for kiddos I would chop it into 25 or 36 little morsels but today I’ve made 16 ‘man-sized’ fairy biscuits….. I can’t even keep a straight face typing that, but my beautiful big softies really do love them!
