Crispy and chewy treats that just beg to be dunked in a cuppa!
- 125 g butter (soft)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 tbsp golden syrup
- juice of half a lemon
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 1/2 cup plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
Cream butter and sugar. Add syrup, lemon juice and egg and keep beating. Add in everything else. Put tsp size blops on trays (fairly far apart) and chuck in the oven at 180 deg. They will spread out into nice little circles (no need to roll into balls, wooooohooooo!), with cute little brown bottoms and be firm on top.
The Ramblings:
It must be that time of your again, I a have lemons coming out my ears so sorry you will probably notice a bit of a trend in the next little while….
I have a bit of a barter system going with a lovely friend; she brings the tomatoes, fresh herbs and lemons and I bring out the shapeshifter in them, sending some back in their cooked form. We upped the ante though and she gave me a chest of drawers (to help in the eternal quest for a clean sewing room!) so I sewed her a shirt. This has kicked off a bit of a sewing fix and yesterday afternoon I decided if I was going to town to drop biccies to her (campdraft is on in town this weekend) I obviously needed a new shirt….. Anywho, in my beautifully organised new sewing room, I did just that!!! So loving having a functional creative space! Happy days!
