Ingredients:
- 1 cup dried dates
- 2 weetbix
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp peanut butter
- 2 tsp chia seeds
- Coconut, cocoa or extra chia seeds for rolling
Method:
Soak dates in boiling water for a 10ish minutes then drain. Chuck everything else in a whizzer and zoom up. Roll into 12 balls then in whatever coating you’d like. Chuck in the fridge for a little bit to harden up a fraction. If you are a calorie counter, these work out to about 65 per ball.
The Ramblings:
I have been super dooper naughty food-wise lately, forgetting that I don’t have the same metabolism as the teenage boys I feed……. So….. Bliss balls it is!
I know many people use all sorts of weird and wonderful things in theirs but I don’t want to spend a fortune on trying to eat better. Everything except the coconut oil and chia seeds, I can get on stores which makes life super easy. If you don’t have the chia seeds, just leave them out, its no big drama, I just like them and find they keep me feeling more full.
