Garlic and Herb Subs
Better than Subway!
Ingredients
- 4½-5 cups bread mix (or plain flour if you must)
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup water
- 3 tbsp yeast
- 3 tbsp sugar
- ½ cup olive oil
- 2 tsp mixed herbs
- 2 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
Normal yeast method; warm milk, water and sugar, add yeast, proof. Knead in everything else until silky smooth and not sticky. Let rise until it doubles. Shape into rolls/subs. Rise again. Bake at 180 deg cel. Cooking time varies based on roll sizes. For me this makes either 16 rolls or 8 subs (or 8 rolls and 4 subs as above).
