Spiced Cookies
A simple biscuit packed with warm flavour
Ingredients
- 125 g butter (soft)
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp golden syrup
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp vanilla
- 1 tsp mixed spice
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- zest of 1 lemon
- ½ cup milk powder
- 2 tbsp custard powder
- 1½ cups plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
Instructions
Cream butter and sugar. Add in egg, vanilla and syrup. Add in spices, zest, custard and milk powder. Make sure that is all really well combined then add in flour. Roll teaspoons of dough and flatten with a fork. Bake at 160 deg cel until bottoms are nicely browned.
