Mayonnaise Chocolate Cake

A moist, dense, cake with a beautiful texture.

Servings: 12 slices
Ingredients
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup brown sugar firmly packed
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla essence (only 1 if you have extract)
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cups SR Flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 cup milk
Instructions

  1. Cream mayonnaise and brown sugar until it pales. Chuck in everything else and beat for a few minutes. Stick it in a cake tin and bake at 180 deg cel until a skewer comes out clean. Once cooled, it's super yummy topped with a choc butter cream.
