Sticky and delicious!
- 1 kg mince (beef, mutton or lamb)
- 2 weetbix
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp all purpose seasoning
- 1 large carrot (grated finely)
- soy sauce
- fish Sauce
- worcestershire sauce
- honey
- 2 tbsp cornflour
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
First make up your meatballs by popping everything in a bowl and getting your hands messy. Roll them into golf ball sizes and pop them in a frying pan to really brown on each side. While your meatballs are browning, in a saucepan gently cook onion and garlic. In a jug (I love my 2 cup glass pyrex one) fill to 1/4 cup line with soy sauce. Fill to 1/3 line with fish sauce, then 1/2 cup line with worcestershire and 3/4 cup line with honey. Add cornflour, fill to 2 cup line with water and whisk together. Pour over onion and garlic and whisk until it starts to thicken and remove from heat.Place meatballs in a casserole dish, pour sauce over, cover with Alfoil and bake for 1 hour-ish.
They would be wonderful made smaller with toothpicks stuck in for starters!
